The Strong Immune system
These days, when, among other pitfalls, we have to approach various government regulations responsibly, we should really be aware of one fact that we are talking about in our online webinars. By this we mean the fact that there is only one difference between those who go through the disease “without losing a flower”, ie those who are prepared, and those who will have to be treated, because their immune system was not strong enough, prepared and the body’s defense failed. We are talking about the immune system, which needs to be strengthened, stimulated, and built. Our immune system is waging a systematic war against these invaders, which is more exciting than any movie thriller or television report.
Why? Because it takes place right in our body. Our body needs a sufficient amount of antioxidants in the form of, for example, vitamin C, zinc, selenium, and others, which are found in fruits and vegetables.
In one study, 112 Canadian soldiers living in the same extreme conditions were given 1 gram of vitamin C daily. The number of colds decreased by 68% compared to the control group, which did not receive vitamin C.
Two-time Nobel Prize winner Linus Pauling calculated that the diet of prehistoric man contained about 40 times more vitamin C than our diet today. That’s more than 3 grams of vitamin C a day.
Aspirin used in colds increases the excretion of vitamin C from the body tenfold.
Refined sugar paralyzes white blood cells, so it destroys them, so white blood cells lose their mobility and their functionality.
No wonder infection can easily overwhelm us today. Don’t forget the helpers – food supplements, that the Lifestyles company offers you.
Healthy tips to strengthen your immune system
- Don’t smoke.
- Eat a diet high in fruits and vegetables.
- Exercise regularly.
- Maintain a healthy weight.
- If you drink alcohol, drink only in moderation.
- Get adequate sleep.
- Take steps to avoid infection, such as washing your hands frequently and cooking meats thoroughly.
- Don’t forget the helpers – food supplements, that the Lifestyles company offers you.
- Try to minimize stress.
Keep current with all recommended vaccines. Vaccines prime your immune system to fight off infections before they take hold in your body. - Those who had regular sex ( with a loved one) twice a week, were found to have higher levels of immunoglobulin A (IgA) in their saliva. (IgA is one of the five major classes of human antibodies, which is widely released on the mucosal surface and plays an important role in protection against microorganisms.
Bacteria and viruses multiply explosively. Thus, from a few individuals, a huge number of millions of pathogens can be present within a few hours. Therefore, at the moment of attack, our body begins to explosively produce millions of immune cells.
However, for this, the immune cell factory needs building materials:
A/ Proteins. If there are few of them, he pulls them out of the muscles and our muscles lose weight (which weakens us). Protein consumption increases by up to 30%. Plant proteins (eg legumes) are ideal because animals multiply the work of the immune system and thus overload it at a critical moment. Complete proteins contain all 20 amino acids. Eight of these amino acids are called “essential amino acids”, which the organism cannot produce on its own, and it is therefore really important to supplement them regularly!
B/B vitamins to control the construction of immune cells. In the absence of vitamin B, the immune system does not produce sufficient striking power (there will not be enough lymphocytes and macrophages).
C/ Vitamin C. We also need a sufficient supply of vitamin C to “fill” new white blood cells with it.
D/ The immune cell factory also needs selenium (increases lymphocyte stimulation, NK-cell activity, and increases the production of interferon, which stimulates defense) and zinc, which is necessary for DNA synthesis.
E/Plus needs vitamin E, which together with vitamin C “armors” cells against free radicals. So what to do in case of infections? Read the next chapter.

Ten foods for eye health
Warning signs for eye health
Early treatment for eye health problems can prevent them from getting worse. So people who notice changes in their vision should schedule a comprehensive eye exam with an optometrist or ophthalmologist.
Possible symptoms that a person may be experiencing vision trouble include:
-
frequent changes in visual clarity
-
seeing distorted images
-
seeing floaters or flashes in the field of vision
-
reduced peripheral vision
Eating a varied diet that includes lots of fruits, vegetables, and lean proteins is enough to ensure most people get the right nutrients for eye health. People who cannot get these nutrients from their diet should ask an eye doctor about eye health supplements. People with vision problems or those with very restrictive diets should talk to an eye health provider about the right foods to eat.
Organizations such as the American Optometric Association (AOA) and the American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO) continue to recommend nutrients for eye health based on the AREDS reports.
The AREDS reports support the following nutrient-rich foods: Fish, Nuts and legumes, Seeds, Citrus fruits, leafy green vegetables, Carrots, Sweet Potatoes, Beef, Zinc, and Eggs. Water is very important to our bodies too.
1. Fish
Many fish are rich sources of omega 3 fatty acids. Oily fish are fish that have oil in their gut and body tissue, so eating them offers higher levels of omega-3-rich fish oil. The fish that contains the most beneficial levels of omega-3s include:
-
tuna
-
salmon
-
trout
-
mackerel
-
sardines
-
anchovies
-
herring
Some studies have found that fish oil can reverse dry eye, including dry eye caused by spending too much time on a computer.
2. Nuts and legumes
Nuts are also rich in omega-3 fatty acids. Nuts also contain a high level of vitamin E, which can protect the eye from age-related damage. Nuts are available for purchase in most grocery stores and online. Nuts and legumes that are good for eye health include:
3. Seeds
Like nuts and legumes, seeds are high in omega-3s and are a rich source of vitamin E. Seeds are available for purchase in most grocery stores and online. Seeds high in omega-3 include:
4. Citrus fruits
Citrus fruits are rich in vitamin C. Just like vitamin E, vitamin C is an antioxidant that is recommended by the AOA to fight age-related eye damage.
Vitamin C-rich citrus fruits include:
-
lemons
-
oranges
-
grapefruits
5. Leafy green vegetables
Leafy green vegetables are rich in both lutein and zeaxanthin and are also a good source of eye-friendly vitamin C. Well-known leafy greens include:
-
spinach
-
kale
-
collards
6. Carrots
Carrots are rich in both Vitamin A and beta carotene. Beta carotene gives carrots their orange color. Vitamin A plays an essential role in vision. It is a component of a protein called rhodopsin, which helps the retina to absorb light.
Research on beta carotene’s role in vision is mixed, though the body needs this nutrient to make vitamin A.
7. Sweet potatoes
Like carrots, sweet potatoes are rich in beta carotene. They are also a good source of the antioxidant vitamin E.
8. Zinc
Beef is rich in zinc, which has been linked to better long-term eye health. Zinc can help delay age-related sight loss and macular degeneration. The eye itself contains high levels of zinc, particularly in the retina, and the vascular tissue surrounding the retina. Meats such as chicken breast and pork loin also contain zinc, but at lower levels than beef.
9. Eggs
Eggs are an excellent source of lutein and zeaxanthin, which can reduce the risk of age-related sight loss. Eggs are also good sources of vitamins C and E, and zinc.
10. Water
It may come as no surprise that a fluid essential to life is also vital to eye health. Drinking plenty of water can prevent dehydration, which may reduce the symptoms of dry eyes.
Recommended daily intake
The current daily recommendations for healthy eye nutrients, as suggested by the AAO to slow the progression of eye disease, are:
-
500 milligrams (mg) of vitamin C
-
400 international units of vitamin E
-
10 mg lutein
-
2 mg zeaxanthin
-
80 mg of zinc oxide
-
2 mg of copper oxide
Other eye health tips
According to the AAO, the following strategies can help to ensure healthy eyes:
-
wearing sunglasses outside, since excessive sun exposure can cause cataracts. A range of sunglasses is available for purchase online.
-
stopping smoking
-
getting regular eye exams, particularly if there is a family history of eye disease
-
wearing eye protection when working with possible eye irritants or dangerous chemicals
-
washing hands before applying contacts
-
wearing contacts only for the period recommended by the doctor or manufacturer
-
protecting eyes from computer-related eye strain by looking away every 20 minutes at something 20 feet away, for 20 seconds
Diabetes is a leading cause of blindness. People with diabetes should carefully monitor blood sugar levels, take medications exactly as prescribed by their doctor, and manage carbohydrate intake while focusing on eating low-moderate glycemic index (GI) foods.
Early treatment for eye health problems can prevent them from getting worse. So people who notice changes in their vision should schedule a comprehensive eye exam with an optometrist or ophthalmologist.
Summary
Eating a varied diet that includes lots of fruits, vegetables, and lean proteins is enough to ensure most people get the right nutrients for eye health.
People who cannot get these nutrients from their diet should ask an eye doctor about eye health supplements.
People with vision problems or those with very restrictive diets should talk to an eye health provider about the right foods to eat.

Skin allergies in children
Skin allergies are the most common allergies in children. The second most common is food. Respiratory allergies, which are more common among older children, is the third most common.
Around the world, we have seen an increase in cancer, asthma, allergies, inflammation, and, most recently, the outbreak of SARS and avian viruses(Covid-19).
TiP. Cut out the confectionery, sweets, and sugar content in food. Add honey to food or drink. Do not use a toxin home cleaner. Restrict a stay in a smoky and dirty environment.
CAUSES
Allergies occur when the body negatively reacts to certain substances.
These can include, but aren’t limited to:
dust mites
dyes
food
fragrances
latex
mold
pet dander
pollen
In some cases, skin allergy symptoms show up when the skin comes into direct contact with an external substance. In other cases, the allergen may be ingested or inhaled. Signs may also appear in conjunction with other types of allergy symptoms, such as headaches, congestion, sneezing, and runny nose.
How can allergies affect your child’s skin?
If your child comes in contact with an allergen, they may develop contact dermatitis. Their skin may appear red, itchy, scaly, bumpy, swollen, they touch, inhale, or eat an allergen, they can also develop hives. These are raised welts that can develop on their skin, and they’re almost always itchy. Some children with allergies also develop eczema. This condition causes their skin to become inflamed, itchy, and irritated, even when they haven’t made contact with an allergen.
Treatment: You can treat allergic contact dermatitis by:
- avoiding the irritant
- applying prescription steroid cream
- healing the skin with medications
- taking antihistamines to relieve itching
How do you find out what your child is allergic to?
Sometimes all your doctor needs to do is take a good history to help decide what your child should avoid. A good history is where your doctor listens to your concerns, ideas, and expectations. Your child’s history may be enough for the doctor to help suggest what to eliminate first. Not all skin reactions are allergic reactions. Your doctor can help determine the cause of your child’s skin reaction.
If a test for allergies is needed, your doctor will usually do a patch test or a skin prick test. The process involves the introduction of small amounts of allergens into the skin. If a reaction occurs, then your child may have an allergy to the substance. Your doctor will use various substances based on environment and family history. Sometimes a blood test is used for diagnosis, but these may be less accurate, particularly in very young children.
How do you manage skin allergies?
Eczema
About 1 in every 10 kids will develop eczema. Eczema, or atopic dermatitis, is an inflammatory skin condition characterized by red rashes that itch. It usually appears in children ages 1 to 5. Food allergies or environmental pollutants can cause eczema, but sometimes no cause is found.
Treatment: Standard treatment involves avoiding allergens and applying ointments and moisturizers. In extreme cases, your child may require prescription medication. Talk to your doctor if you suspect allergies. An allergist can help identify which allergens to avoid or which foods to eliminate.
Our world is vastly different from that of our ancestors. While we are more aware of environmental pollution today than ever before, we can’t avoid it. We eat, breathe, and live in our modern environment, making the ingestion of toxins a part of everyday life! Body Pollution (the pollution from the environment that enters our bodies) is exposing our immune systems to levels of chemicals, toxins, pollutants, and other agents our bodies were never designed to absorb. The scary truth is that we are all ingesting these negative substances every day in the food we eat, the water we drink and the air we breathe. Together, they weaken our immune systems and contribute to many of today’s most common diseases.
So what can we do to support and maintain a healthy immune system, and be better prepared to fight off environmental invaders? Daily supplementation with botanical extracts, antioxidants, vitamins and minerals, and phytonutrients is a good start. By giving our bodies the daily nutrition it needs, we are providing the basic building blocks for a healthy and effective immune system.
Tip.
Eating the foods high in zinc, Omega 3, Vitamin C, magnesium can be beneficial. Try botanical extracts /Intra Herbal Juice/, antioxidants, Turmeric Curcumin Supplements, vitamins, and minerals and phytonutrients ( NutriaPlus) too.
